The Yurts

We have sourced high quality original and local materials to craft and

furnish the yurts. The woodwork is made of our own ash, oak and hazel

trees, milled, steamed and oiled by hand and knotted in old tradition to form

the round tent structure, with the bend roof beams allowing standing room

throughout the tents. The outer skin is stitched using cotton canvas woven

in Scotland. The wood radiates warmth and and tradition while being a

tribute to the craftsmanship of the builders. The light and the sense of

peace and tranquillity in a yurt are unique.

We use antique quality furnishing mixed with practical and stylish

accessories to make a homely and exotic space. All three yurts have a

wood burner, and small kitchenette beside a comfortable seating area and

quality beds.

Hazel 5 Øm (sleeps 2-4)

Our highest yurt with over 2.80 head space in the centre and with its

rustic/quirky natural beams and trellises our most striking tent. Often used

for our honeymooners who are looking for the stunning and exceptional.

Why not enjoy a breakfast basket with Cornish specialities and continental

treats and a glass of bubbly in bed with the best view!

Oak 5 Øm (sleeps 2-4)

The dark oiled trellises and floor boards of this tent bring out the white

canvas and shadow-light features that the big sky light and the sunshine

provoke. Our most traditional and elegant tent. Perfect for family stays or

spacious living for two.

Ash 4 Øm (sleeps 2 + cot)

Ash is our smaller and lighter yurt giving you all the comfort of the other two

but in a cosier space. Perfect for active holidays heating up in minutes after

the days adventures or offering a romantic space to read and rest.

All yurts stand on the same sheltered field with the bathrooms within 20-30

meters between the yurts and away from bathroom and kitchen. Cars are

parked the same distance from the yurts, but we are most happy to help

with luggage and other items. Wood for the burners and open fires is included in the price.
